At the beginning of every year I like to set myself a challenge. On new year’s eve – 2 days ago whilst relaxing and day dreaming I came up with the idea of exploring all the vineyards in England. A fairly daunting a task as there are about 400. A bit of research showed that most are listed on various sites and should be relatively easy to locate. A passion for exploring in general and a love of tracking down unusual places with the help of an ordinance survey map should make it fun.
The plan is to visit as many as possible – every one has a story and hopefully I can find out some interesting fact about each. All the information will go into a database and will be presented on this site in various formats including web pages, a google map and feeds.
